About the Authors
Jana Seely, a curator at Hearst Castle, where she has been on staff since 1991, has published articles about the collection in numerous periodicals. A long-time member of the museum community, she has designed exhibitions, created educational materials and programs, and spearheaded publishing projects. She has worked as a research assistant, editor, and freelance sculptor. A co-founder of Hearst Castle Press, she also serves as its Editor-in-Chief.
From September 2000 to December 2007, Keri Collins was part of the Hearst Castle curatorial staff and was responsible for managing the Hearst Castle Archives. In January 2008 she relocated to Mississippi, where she continues to work as a freelance writer specializing in literature for young audiences. A co-founder of Hearst Castle Press, she was also an Associate Artist in Residence at the Atlantic Center for the Arts, and holds a Master of Arts degree in Education.
